  History

The Odia Seva Foundation was established with the aim of serving the community, protecting animals, and promoting spiritual and environmental well-being. Over the years, it has grown into an organization known for its unwavering commitment to social welfare, compassion, and sustainable practices. The journey of Odia Seva Foundation is one of dedication, selfless service, and continuous growth in multiple areas of societal development.

  The Beginning:

The foundation was conceived in the heart of Kalyan, Maharashtra, by a group of like-minded individuals who shared a common vision: to create a society based on compassion, respect, and care for all living beings. Drawing inspiration from traditional values of service and devotion, the founders of Odia Seva Foundation felt a deep responsibility to work for the welfare of animals, elderly citizens, and the environment.

     Key Milestones in Our History:

Founding of the Goshala (Cow Shelter):

The foundation’s first major initiative was the establishment of the Goshala (cow shelter), which aimed to provide a safe haven for cows, ensuring their well-being and protection. This initiative was rooted in the belief that cows, as revered animals in Indian culture, deserve respect and care. Over time, the Goshala became a central part of the foundation’s mission, and thousands of cows have received shelter, medical care, and nourishment.

Opening of Vruddhashram (Old Age Home):

Following the success of the Goshala, the foundation recognized the need for elderly care in the community. Many senior citizens lacked the necessary support and infrastructure for their care, and thus, the Vruddhashram (Old Age Home) was established. The aim was to provide a loving, caring, and peaceful environment for the elderly, where they could live with dignity and comfort, surrounded by community support.

The Spiritual Connection: Radha Krishna and Ganpati Mandir:

As the foundation expanded, it became clear that spiritual wellness was an integral part of creating a holistic and compassionate community. The foundation then constructed the Radha Krishna Mandir and Ganpati Mandir within the Goshala to offer devotees a place for prayer, meditation, and spiritual connection. These temples fostered a sense of peace and devotion, allowing individuals to worship and find solace in the divine presence.

Environmental Sustainability and Nursery Plantation Program:

The foundation also recognized the growing importance of protecting the environment. In response, the nursery plantation program was initiated to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote tree plantation. Through this initiative, the foundation has distributed thousands of saplings to encourage sustainable practices and reduce the ecological footprint in the region.

   Community Engagement and Support:

Over the years, the foundation has continued to engage with the local community in various ways. It has hosted numerous cultural, spiritual, and educational events to raise awareness and promote the values of compassion, service, and environmental responsibility. Through these programs, Odia Seva Foundation has built a strong network of supporters, volunteers, and donors who have been instrumental in the organization’s growth.

    Awards and Recognition:

As the foundation's work expanded, it garnered recognition from local authorities, spiritual leaders, and community organizations. Various awards and accolades have been received for our efforts in animal welfare, elderly care, and environmental conservation. These recognitions have reinforced our mission and allowed us to further strengthen our impact.
